Paramus, New Jersey, August 19, 2013 – NICE Systems today announced the winners of its 2013 PSAPs’ Finest Awards in a ceremony held at the NICE booth (#1225) during the APCO International 79th Annual Conference and Expo.
An annual awards program sponsored by NICE, the PSAPs' Finest Awards recognizes exemplary individuals in the field of emergency 9-1-1 communications. Each year, the four top rated nominees chosen by a panel of judges from the 9-1-1 industry are recognized as the ‘PSAPs’ Finest’ Director, Line Supervisor, Technician, and Telecommunicator of the Year. The winners are chosen based on criteria such as: years of service to 9-1-1, exemplary contributions to their agency, innovative thinking and execution,depth of knowledge, dedication, and specific positive impacts to public safety communications in their communities.

Serving on the judging panel this year were: Shawnda Brandon (9-1-1 Administrator, City of Dallas 9-1-1); KD Seeley, (Deputy Director, Thurston 9-1-1 Communications, TCOMM911); and Robert J. Haffner, (Director 9-1-1 Communications, City of Bethlehem, PA).
