VP Accounting

The VP Accounting leads the global accounting functions and be responsible for creating and driving accounting processes, policies, controls, systems and reporting that ensures all objectives are met in support of the company’s business objectives.

  • Oversees Financial Reporting and SEC reporting ensuring accurate, timely reporting and compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
  • Oversees globally monthly, quarterly and year-end closings including year-end audit and the consolidated financial statements.
  • Lead and manage all technical accounting including revenue recognition, Tax accounting and implementation of new standards and compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Lead M&A transactions.
  • Manage Global accounting team and lead worldwide accounting communication
  • Lead Global RevRec center of excellence.
  • Identify, track and report on key financial and non-financial performance metrics; work with the team to analyze trends and develop/implement changes to drive improvements.
  • Enhance and drive efficiencies and effective accounting process and systems.
  • Develop relationships with the management team to effectively execute on company policy and process changes as well as other key company-wide initiatives.
  • Oversees all aspects of the month end close, financial reporting and consolidation processes.
  • Partner with FP&A to ensure accurate reported results and forecasts and provide management with timely financial information for effective strategic decision making
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and international tax rules and regulations.
  • Ensure team up-to-date knowledge of current accounting pronouncements, GAAP and other compliance issues and Lead Knowledge sharing globally.
  • Lead and support ad hoc special projects as required.

Required skills and background:

  • CPA with vast and strong accounting knowledge and experience
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in relevant accounting roles, including a background with a Big 4 accounting firm and with a public company.
  • SEC reporting experience.
  • Experience in managing and leading global finance team and multi-cultural.
  • Experience in M&A transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, result driven and proactive problem-solving approach
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, organized and attentive to details when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with others outside of reporting authority to achieve shared goals
