NOC Engineer

Job Description:

NICE MIS NOC/SOC is a global service located in Pune, India supporting all NICE Corporate MIS Services. The engineer will monitor and troubleshoot Events and Incident for Global NICE infrastructure.

BE in computers science, electronics and telecommunications or equivalent

2 to 3.5 Years

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Should have 2 - 3.5yrs of work experience in IT service operations
  • Essentials Windows MCSE/MCITP/MCP, Windows Server 2003/2008 / 2012 MS, MS Active Directory to Administrator level, fundamental network knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS), VMware virtual Centre
  • Should be aware of server housekeeping tasks
  • Should be familiar with RAID, LDAP, understanding of Clusters  
  • Required any certifications from MCP, MCSA, MCSE or MCITP
  • Preferred to have Very good understanding of different server & network infrastructure
  • Good understanding of ITIL standards and should have worked in the ITIL framework
  • Should be well versed with Event Management and Incident Management processes
  • Preferred to have prior work experience of NOC environment and global support (for different regions across the globe)
  • Preferred to have or aware of at least 1 or 2 monitoring tools (BEM or SolarWinds)
  • Preferred to have or aware of on at-least 1 or 2 ITSM tools (Remedy or ServiceNow)
  • Preferred to have Very good understanding of Firewall, Router configurations
  • Preferred to have good understanding of Security alerts incidents and basic understanding of SOC environment
  • Must be willing to work in 24/7 shifts and weekends as well
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and projects with minimal supervision
  • Problem identification, workaround, and resolution along with timely follow up with customers via e-mails or phone calls
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and customer focused
  • Ensure processes and policies are being adhered to and standards are being met
  • Should be able to lead and drive high priority incidents without any assistance
  • Should be well versed with Change Management process and should have attended CAB meetings
  • Proactive approach
  • Good ability to learn new infrastructure and processes
  • Should be a quick learner with a positive attitude
