How do I reserve the special conference rate at the hotel?
The Gaylord offers a discounted room rate of $139 per night (deadline for this rate is April 12th) to NICE customers attending our 2010 customer conference. To take advantage of the reduced rate, visit the hotel website or call the hotel reservation line at 1.866.782.7897. When making your reservation by phone, reference NICE Systems or C-NSM10. You will not be charged a one night advance deposit if you book following either of these procedures. Please note that the $15 resort fee is waived for NICE customers.

Special Needs Guests
Rooms are available for guests with special needs including ramps and size/width requirements. All rooms comply with the 1994 American Disabilities Act (ADA). Pathways offer disabled access to all hotel areas.

Who pays for travel and hotel accommodations?
All attendees are responsible for their travel and hotel costs.

Where do I pick up my registration packet?
Registration is open Monday, May 3 from 12:00 pm to 7 pm and Tuesday, May 4 from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

If the registration table is busy, where else can I get information?
You can address questions to any of the NUG Board Members who will be wearing burgundy shirts.

What is the difference between the pre-conference workshops and the conference?
Pre-conference workshops will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm prior to the commencement of the conference.

Can anyone attend any of the breakout sessions?
Yes, the agenda is arranged into tracks and depending on your experience or position, we would recommend that you follow the track applicable to your position or experience.

Do I have to sign up for my sessions? If so, can I select sessions from the different Tracks, or must I select and attend sessions in only one Track?
Signing up for sessions is optional with the exception of the User Education-Essentials Track. Space is limited for this “hands-on” track and is offered on a first come, first serve basis. You may sign up for sessions in any of the other tracks, but be sure read the session descriptions to get the most out of the conference.

Once I’ve signed up for my sessions, can I change or add sessions when I arrive on site at the Conference?
Yes, you may. However, the User Education-Essentials Track Hands-On sessions are available on a first come, first serve basis.

If there are sessions taking place at the same time that I'd like to attend, is there a way for me to obtain the presentation on the other session?
The presentations will be posted on the NUG web site after the conference is over.

If I want to set up a meeting during the conference with someone specific from NICE, what do I need to do?

What should I pack to wear?
Business casual during the day sessions, casual attire for the Tuesday/ Wednesday night networking activities. Bring a sweater/light jacket in case the meeting rooms are cool, or to wear for the evening events.

What time zone is Dallas, TX?
Central US Time.

This is my first time attending the NICE User Conference. Is there anything special I should know?
You will be joining customers from hundreds of companies across North and South America at the largest customer event NICE has ever held. You will gain insight into the future of NICE’s products, deepen your understanding of current solutions, share best practices, case studies, and experience a first-class learning and networking event.

Is there anything I should make sure to bring with me to the conference?
Business cards with your contact information for networking. And don’t be afraid to share them!

Will I be able to meet others in the same job function? I’ll be traveling alone.
You can meet and network with others that share your interests at the Birds of a Feather luncheons. Additionally, in your sessions and at networking opportunities, you can find and connect with others in your industry.

What are some tips to help me make sure I have a successful conference?

Will there be opportunities to network with NICE representatives and other NICE users?
Yes, there are plenty of opportunities for networking throughout the conference (Welcome Session, during meals, Customer Appreciation Party, the Showcase, etc.). Check the agenda for additional networking opportunities.

Will the latest functionality of NICE products be demonstrated?
All the new products will be available to preview at the Showcase.

While at the Conference, is there internet access available to check email, etc.?
Yes, there will be an internet café onsite, and Internet access is available in your guest room complimentary.

What meals will be provided during the Conference?
Breakfast and lunch is included each day as part of the conference on Tuesday and Wednesday. Breakfast will be provided on Thursday. The Welcome Reception, Tuesday evening and Customer Appreciation Party, Wednesday will host a cocktail hour with plenty of hors d'oeuvres and stations to fill you up.

How do I get to and from the airport in Dallas? What is the cost to get from the airport to the hotel? How long is the trip?

How many different companies are represented at the Conference?
There are over 1000 attendees at the conference representing 150 companies coming from over 15 countries.

Is there anything in the Dallas area for spouses and children to do?
The concierge at the Gaylord Texan is very helpful with arranging things to do in the area.
