Automatic Number Identification (ANI) and Automatic Location Identification (ALI) is an application designed to complement a recorder system in specific applications. In E911 emergency services, calls are recorded for many reasons-for example, confirming information provided during the call, admitting the call as evidence in court, or reconstructing a series of events relating to specific case. The E911 ANI/ALI Tagging System appends call records with location and number information, which can be used for search and replay. This powerful tool which can be used to simplify event reconstruction and call seeking in the E911 environment.
