Belgium’s Largest Bank, Fortis, Has Upgraded its Security Infrastructure with Digital Video Solutions from NICE Systems and Siemens Building Technologies

Together with Siemens Building Technologies NICE is providing critical security surveillance for Fortis Bank administration and cash-handling sites. Fortis will replace its current surveillance equipment with NICE’s high-quality digital video solutions to achieve superior video quality for detection and decision making and gain Insight from Interactions™.

Fortis Bank, the largest bank in Belgium and one of the largest in Europe, required a solution that would integrate hundreds of CCTV cameras used to provide surveillance of multiple sites across Belgium. To answer this need, Siemens Building Technologies will use NICE Systems to enhance physical security and improve business operations by installing digital video recording equipment, designed to establish consistently high-quality video across the organisation. By installing NiceVision solutions with its proven capability for monitoring and recording video over a network, Fortis is able to effectively manage security across multiple sites.

Prior to implementing NICE’s NiceVision solution, Fortis Bank had been using analogue VCR’s to record and store critical security footage. K. Matton, General Manager of Safety-Security at Fortis Bank, explains, “We needed an open, user friendly system that delivers consistently high-quality video across the entire organization and that will enable us to quickly and easily store, review and act upon surveillance information.
