NICE ANNOUNCES 2007 PSAPS' FINEST AWARD WINNERS

NICE is pleased to announce the winners of the 2007 PSAPs' Finest awards, a program that salutes top performers in 9-1-1 PSAPs (Public Safety Answering Points). NICE launched the program last year in conjunction with National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. This year, the program's scope was broadened to include four key positions within the PSAP. The winners of the 2007 PSAPs' Finest awards were unveiled in a special video tribute at Insight 2007, the annual NICE Public Safety Summit, which took place on August 6, 2007 at APCO. This year's PSAPs' Finest award recipients are:

The 2007 PSAPs' Finest award winners were selected based on a combination of factors: their exemplary contributions to the field of public safety and/or to their organizations/agencies; their commendable handling of specific incidents and resulting outcomes; their years of service, depth of knowledge and/or innovative thinking; as well as other key criteria.

"This year we received numerous nominations for our annual award program. While each nominee was a standout, the recipients of this award are truly 'PSAPs' Finest,'" said Chris Wooten, President of NICE's Public Safety Global Business Unit. "We're very pleased to have the opportunity to recognize these outstanding individuals for their contributions to public safety."
