NICE IP RECORDING SOLUTION RECEIVES M/A-COM P25^IP CERTIFICATION

M/A-COM, Inc., a division of Tyco Electronics and a leading supplier of critical communications systems and equipment for public safety, utility, federal and select commercial markets, has certified NICE Systems’ IP recording solution for interoperability with its P25^IP communications system. M/A-COM’s P25^IP VIDA-based trunked radio system combines the benefits of an IP-based solution with the standard common-air-interface of P25. The NICE certification was awarded in September 2006 following the successful completion of interoperability testing conducted by M/A-COM at the Company’s laboratories in Lynchburg, Virginia. Connecting directly into M/A-COM’s P25^IP system infrastructure, the certified NICE solution allows public safety agencies to securely record and seamlessly replay encrypted and non-encrypted radio communications side-by-side, and includes support for over-the air rekeying (OTAR) from the M/A-COM Key Management Facility (KMF). The NICE IP system also captures critical data associated with each communication (including the caller ID and caller alias, region and agency, group IDs/aliases, site IDs, channel IDs, emergency status, and call time and date). Coupled with NICE’s Scenario Replay™, this IP voice and data capture capability gives first responders insight by enabling efficient and seamless reconstruction of incidents from captured IP radio interactions.
