| NICE PERFORMTM SELECTED TO IMPROVE AVIATION SAFETY AND SECURITY FOR FAA |
 |
NICE has been selected by Lockheed Martin to supply NICE PerformTM for use in Lockheed Martin's FS21 system used to provide flight services. The multi-million dollar win is part of a project headed by Lockheed Martin, for which it was selected to manage and operate the FAA's Automated Flight Service Stations (AFSS).
The FAA's Automated Flight Service Stations provide pre-flight weather briefings, flight planning services, in-flight radio communications, and search and rescue services to corporate and commercial pilots in the general aviation community.
Lockheed Martin will implement NICE Perform for monitoring and analysis of telephony voice interactions between pilots and flight service specialists, to ensure compliance and accepted performance levels, as defined by the FAA. AFSS specialists deliver critical weather and security-based flight restriction information to pilots, and compliance with the FAA's strict safety and service requirements is vital.
By applying NICE Perform's advanced capabilities for precision monitoring, supervisors will be able to proactively identify specific interactions and reliably evaluate the accuracy of the flight plans and information communicated by specialists. Supervisors will be able to target key calls and correlate them to screen activity, and be able to evaluate how well the specialist was handling the process versus performance parameters.
"We are very pleased that we were selected by Lockheed Martin for this important project," said Chris Wooten, vice president and general manager of NICE's Public Safety Division. "We look forward to enabling Insight from Interactions between specialists and pilots, and to improving service, safety and security. The NICE solution is the premier choice in enhancing services provided to pilots and ensuring safety and compliance within regulations. We are excited about this win extending our delivery of the Insight from Interactions vision to the public and security sector."
