| NICE SYSTEMS RECEIVES OPENSKY® CERTIFICATION FROM M/A-COM |

M/A-COM, a division of Tyco Electronics and a leading supplier of critical communications systems and equipment for public safety, utility, federal and select commercial markets, has certified NICE Systems' NiceLog recording solution for interoperability with its OpenSky® trunked radio system. M/A-COM's OpenSky® is a wireless private network built on modern IP (Internet Protocol) networking technology. The NICE certification was awarded in December 2005 following the successful completion of interoperability testing conducted by M/A-COM at the Company's laboratories in Lynchburg, VA. A copy of the M/A-COM certification letter is available at NICE's web site as noted below. A fully integrated, end-to-end IP recording system, the newly-certified NICE solution offers many benefits. Instead of requiring a separate DVU (Digital Voice Unit) to detrunk audio for each talkgroup, the NICE system dynamically captures IP audio and trunked radio data directly from the VNIC (Voice Network Interface Controller) component of the OpenSky® network, offering a more seamless and cost-effective approach to capturing trunked radio communications. Capturing detailed data with each transmission (e.g. time and date, talkgroup ID, alias, unit ID, etc.) also makes it possible to pinpoint recorded transmissions down to the radio level, and facilitates fast reconstruction and replay of IP radio transmissions. "This latest certification builds on NICE Systems' portfolio of successful integrations with M/A-COM radio solutions, which also includes EDACS®," said Chris Wooten, vice president of NICE Systems' Public Safety Division. "We're very pleased to have passed this most recent round of testing and to be certified for interoperability with OpenSky®.
