| NICE ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR TELECOMMUNICATOR OF THE YEAR |

In 1981, Patricia Anderson of the Contra Costa County (California) Sheriff's Office came up with an idea to honor telecommunicators in her agency through a special observance. The idea gained momentum, and with the backing of APCO (the Association of Public-Safety Communication Officials), in 1991 the U.S. Congress designated the second full week of April as "National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week." This year, in conjunction with National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (which will take place April 9-15, 2006), NICE Systems would like to pay tribute to the public safety professionals who "answer the call" for emergency service with a special NICE Telecommunicator of the Year contest. This is our way of recognizing the hundreds of thousands of telecommunicators who work behind the scenes to make a difference in the lives of citizens everyday. Is there a telecommunicator in your organization who you'd like to recognize for his or her outstanding professionalism, dedication and performance? NICE invites you to nominate that person for the NICE Telecommunicator of the Year award. This awards program is extended to all public safety organizations and telecommunicators worldwide. Nominations open January 31, 2006 and close March 31, 2006. One grand prize winner and two runners-up will be selected. NICE will announce the winners of the contest in the April 2006 issue of NICE News Special Edition. The grand prize winner will receive an iPod and each winner (grand prize and two runner-ups) will receive a personalized "Telecommunicator of the Year" award plaque from NICE Systems. Winners will also receive personal recognition through profiles in the NICE customer newsletter.
