PHARMACARE EXECUTIVE INDUCTED AS NICE NUG PRESIDENT
Annmarie Jenkins, director of customer service operations for PharmaCare, has been appointed president of the NICE User Group (NUG). Annmarie takes over the reigns from former NUG President Dan Davies (Progressive Insurance) at a time when participation in NUG has reached an all-time high, with the organization now exceeding one thousand members.

An independent knowledge community for NICE customers, NUG's mission is to help its members optimize the value of their NICE solutions throughout their organizations by sharing information and best practices. While membership in NUG is free, it affords numerous learning and networking opportunities. Members can connect with their peers and with NICE Systems' experts at NUG summits, and through monthly conference calls, webinars, newsletters and the NUG web site. According to Jenkins, this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what NUG can offer. "The real value is in being able to connect with people who have walked in your shoes," she said.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of two service centers that handle close to a quarter of a million calls each month, Jenkins, a 17-year contact center industry veteran, has seen the trials and tribulations of implementing new technology first hand. "For organizations that have no kind of a quality program in place, it can be a daunting task," she said. "You need to build from the ground up." But Jenkins asserts, even organizations that aren't starting out on the ground floor can benefit from NUG. "Being able to connect with peers who have implemented NICE solutions, who have been through establishing the business case; being able to reach out within that community to build an ROI - it's just invaluable," she said.

Jenkins would like to see NUG's enrollment continue to grow during her tenure as president. "It's absolutely free, so it's crazy not to join," she said. And, she'd like to create more venues for NUG members to connect throughout the year. "The annual NUG summit is just a phenomenal event and I'd like to try to keep that momentum going," she said. "We've talked about possibly doing that through regional chapters. NICE is wonderful in terms of the resources they provide for NUG. I think that's why it is so successful and will continue to be successful."

Upcoming NUG events
Attention all contact center customers: don't miss this NUG Quality and Training event on Tuesday, November 22nd at 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time - "Taking Your Quality Management Program to the Next Level," presented by Sharon Dowd, manager of NICE Systems' Consulting Services.

What this session is all about: Just like "good cooking," taking quality management (QM) to the next level requires imagination, proven and tested practices and a sprinkle of adventure. Not all QM ideas will work out perfectly, but that doesn't mean you don't try them. So, if you are looking to cook up some new and creative ideas to motivate your agents, improve your supervisors' coaching skills or secure better senior management sponsorship of measuring customer interactions, then this session might just be the right recipe for you.

You'll learn:
  • The proper ingredients required for successful QM
  • How to create a balanced menu that will improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • How to avoid having your QM soufflé collapse!
You must pre-register for this event. To register, send an email to Nashtassia.Alexis@nice.com with your contact information (name, phone, email) and you will receive all the access instructions.

Attention public safety customers: The new Public Safety Special Interest Group (SIG) of NICE NUG has scheduled its first member conference call for November 11, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Sgt. Claude Armstrong of the NYPD will be providing an overview of the NICE User Group during this call. If you've recently joined NUG or you're thinking about signing up as a member, you won't want to miss this teleconference.

This will be the first in a series of calls to be held the first Wednesday of every month just for our NUG Public Safety SIG. For more information, please email Welcome@nice.com.
