If you thought video surveillance was just about security, think again. NICE customer New Jersey Transit is using NICE's digital video solutions to keep an eye on customer service and its bottom line, too. The third largest transit operation in the nation, New Jersey Transit uses the NICE solution to capture and analyze video from surveillance cameras installed in dozens of bus and rail stations within its 5,325 square mile service area. The system provides remote real-time access to video feed anywhere on the network and even analyzes video to detect intruders, unusually large crowds or other activity that might indicate something is awry. NICE is also giving the transit operator new insight into how to improve service - an added benefit for the tens of thousands of passengers who use New Jersey Transit every day. It has significantly reduced customer injury claims for the transit operator as well, which has had a direct impact on the bottom line.
