New release provides more flexibility to implement feature-rich, cost effective audio recording solutions tailored to individual needs
By Linda Haelsen, NICE Systems
NICE Systems has released a new “software only” version of its Mirra IV audio recording solution for small and mid-sized public safety and other communications centers that need to capture voice communications. First launched in 2007, the Mirra IV was previously only available as a turnkey solution. The new “software only” release of Mirra IV will give NICE dealers and their customers more flexibility in hardware selection and storage capacity. Mirra IV is sold exclusively through NICE’s network of certified dealers.
All of the features currently available through the turnkey Mirra IV communications recording solution will also be available in the “software only” version of Mirra IV. Mirra IV combines advanced recording technology with other robust capabilities, including: secure browser-based access; VoIP recording and mixed interface support to record all types of voice communications - analog, digital, ISDN PRI (E1/T1) and VoIP; ANI/ALI integration to capture Automatic Number Identification/Automatic Location Identification information for faster voice recording retrieval; D-channel decoding for capturing call metadata; and simultaneous multi-channel monitoring so supervisors can monitor incidents and interactions in real-time.
The new release of Mirra IV software will also support RAID 1 on PCs/servers pre-certified by NICE, enabling redundant capture of voice recordings and associated call data. Added redundancy will be available through the Mirra IV software’s support for dual power supplies, should a center elect to purchase and implement a PC/server equipped with this feature.
“NICE’s turnkey version of Mirra IV has already been successfully deployed in hundreds of sites worldwide,” said Chris Wooten, President, NICE Security Americas. “We expect this new release of Mirra IV to build on this positive momentum, by giving our dealer and end user communities more flexibility to implement feature-rich, cost effective recording solutions tailored to their individual needs.”
