Solutions Engineer

The Pre-Sales Engineer is required to play a pro-active part in the overall sales process as well as new and existing customer engagement and interaction.

The Pre Sales Engineer also acts as interface between the customer, sales and the product management teams and will be the primary technical interface for the sales team in the region assisting with both pre and post sales technical engagement.

  • Actively Support the sales team meeting annual targets
  • Responsibility for the technical aspects of the sales process
  • Preparation of accurate and detailed proposals & presentations in response to RFP's and customers' requests
  • Preparation of accurate solution quotations
  • Provision of technical consultancy services
  • Lease with external 3rd party vendors for technical discussions as/when required
  • Presentation and demos of Public Safety products & Applications
  • Support regional partners with technical design and channel relationship
  • Pro-actively build, develop and maintain technical engagement relationships with both end users and business partners
  • Occasional travel to customer sites for sales support activities
  • Review orders for technical accuracy
  • Complete detailed documentation to facilitate accurate sales to service handover for installation and project management services
  • 2-5 years of previous experience as sales engineering / pre-sales / post-sale / product manager / System Engineering
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to communicate professionally with customers
  • Must have the ability to learn quickly and assimilate technical and functional knowledge of NICE product solutions
  • Proven technical background preferably in one or more of the following: telephony, trunk radio, networking, Analog, Digital and ISDN PRI telephony strongly preferred
  • Self-sufficient, and likes to be given end objectives with flexibility to take ownership and manage activities & processes to achieve results
  • Ability to deliver against tight timelines with drive for Customer Focus and satisfaction
  • Ability to relate technology to business issues/challenges and translate to business/operational benefits
  • Individual must be highly motivated with excellent communication (verbal/written) and presentations skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Salesforce.com
  • Must speak/write fluent English. Other languages (French/German) would be an advantage
  • Must be a strong team player
  • Ability to work well under pressure, priorities and meet external and internal deadlines
  • Willing to travel 50%
